  • Our Impactful Programs For School Children

    • On the international menstrual hygiene day we provided menstrual hygiene kits to 250 girls at one of our schools where we have provided access to safe drinking water. Why celebrating menstrual hygiene day on the 28th of May? Because there are 28 days between a menstrual cycle and a girl usually has her menses for 5 days. On this year theme: Menstrual Hygiene should be taught to every girl so that she can have a smooth and healthy life during menstruation and otherwise. Poor menstrual health can lead to so many health complications but with regular hygiene, we can keep them away. By providing access to safe drinking water at this school, the girls have access to clean water to wash themselves and be able to feel fresh and safely stay in school during their menses.

    Strenthen Educations

A Thatched Building, No Books, No School Uniforms and No Access to Good Road Network, Yet Children From Six Villages Come to This Unamed School Everyday walking 6 to 7 Miles Hoping to Be Among Those Who Can Read and Write.

The Sustainable Development Goal 4, Which Aims to Ensure Quality Education For All is Far From Being Realized For Children, Especially Girls Living in Marlie Village about 24 to 25 Miles Off From Bombali-District.

It is Heartbreaking That in 2025, Children Still Walk 6 to 7 Miles Daily to a School With No Books, Uniforms or Proper Infrastructure While Sustainable Development Goal 4 remains a Distant Dream For Them.

Education Should Not Be a Privilege but It is a Right, if Ballot Boxes Can Reach These Villages, So Should Schools, Qualified Teachers and Basic Learning Materials. The Government and All Stakeholders Must Act Now to Bridge This Gap, The Community Action For Development Sierra Leone is Dedicated in Promoting Sustainable Education in Rural Sierra Leone and Through Partnership and Collaborations We Will Amplify Our Work to Reach The Most Vulnerable Communities Across Sierra Leone.
